2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. A bronze coloured beer with a white dissapating head. The aroma is sweet and malty with some brown bread notes and a bit of grassy hop. The taste is also sweet and malty with oaty toasty notes. A bit of a fusty farty taste in the after taste even though the beer is within date.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Grainy malt aroma - lightly sweet. Amber color with minute head. Rather weak flavor - mildly sour malt intially with sweetness coming out in the middle and the merest hint of hops at the end. A good Vienna but nothing to set it apart.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, deep amber. Just about no head. Malty caramel aroma, fine balance between sweetness and bitterness, but somehow lacking in body. Pleasant Vienna. 120305

I have had this beer many times in the past and have been impressed by it! This sampling was almost undrinkable!!!
No head , metallic, floaters, you name it!
I know we are not supposed to rip brewers or distributors, but the importer has lost control of some of his other beers as well! Buyer BEWARE!!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a light note of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A touch on the sweet side, and the aroma is a bit docile, but I have to admit it’s quite delightful...if the nose were more assertive and the finish more snappy, this could be a 4+ brew. And maybe when it’s very fresh it is indeed at that level.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a darker amber with a fast falling off-white head that leaves thick lacing behind. This brew is very sweet and malty thick. Lots of warm melted caramel in the aroma along with a light spicing. Taste starts very warming and sweet malty and the very minimal carbonation leaves thick brew feeling very heavy and syrupy. Honey and caramel carry through the taste with just a light finishing bitterness that doesn’t even try to balance the big maltiness of this brew.

Copper body under thick white head. Sweet malty aroma. Thin and watery in the mouth. The flavor was sweet and spicy and very unremarkable.
