UPDATED: JUL 26, 2012 Bottle picked up at Beertopia Omaha, opened in Exira, Iowa. Clear, dark orange appearance with a big white head. Grainy, husky, light corn crib, light cobweb, hay aroma. Fuck this reminds me of my grandparentís, farm five clicks away. Crisp grainy, fairly fruity, a bit dry, grainy flavor. Pretty easy to drink but thereís a bit of awkwardness between the grainy, straw elements and the fruit elements. Tried again in the bottle in Germany. A bit better this time around but nothing special.

The aroma is moderately malty with notes of clover and yeast. A crystal clear, golden beer with a medium-sized, fizzy white head. Slowly, but fully diminishing with decent lacing. A nice moderately malty and slightly pungent flavor up front. A hint of clover honey on the backside. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. A short, crisp, clean, mostly dry finish with a hint of clover at the far end of the aftertaste. I might be mistaken, but I think this is my first Vienna. Nice, but not completely sold on the style. I will definitely try another next summer on a hot, humid day.

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured; deep sweet-malty nose (nutty, bready) with a tinge of honey; sweet malty start, becoming dryer soon; big malty flavour; shorter bitter-sweet finish, quite dry. A nicely rounded, very tasty Vienna !

Bottle. A bronze coloured beer with a white dissapating head. The aroma is sweet and malty with some brown bread notes and a bit of grassy hop. The taste is also sweet and malty with oaty toasty notes. A bit of a fusty farty taste in the after taste even though the beer is within date.

Bottle. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are grain with citrus and sugar. Zesty and fresh. Flavours are light caramel malts with sweet, sugary grain. Dry and toasty with an almost champagne like character (almost). OK, if a bit too sweet for my personal taste.

5l mini cask, bought at the brewery. Clear deep golden colour, large and creamy head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with good aromatic hop flavours. Very slightly fruity. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel, a pleasure!

The Lure:
A filtered bronze hue is topped by a majestic, lingering head. Fine grainy malt and its caramel counterpart befriend mild spicy and earthy hops.

The Festivities:
A caramel suggestion flurries through a subtle hop tingle. This citrusy and grassy hoppiness, helped by some neighbouring tropical fruit, eases the quaffing. This is a very drinkable lager, bordering Bohemian-style, which gets better and better as the pint is downed, demanding bigger and bigger gulps.

Transcendence:
Teasing a sunburn.
