Draught at Kleine Bierstube, Århus
Golden color; creamy head. Aroma of breadcrumbs and cereals. Simple flavor, with some malt, rather dry. Ordinary bitterness. Uninteresting.

Draught: Poured a golden clear color with white head. The aroma is grain with some maltness. Taste is sweet grain with clean crispness to it. Malt finish.

Amber colour. Medium head. Malty aroma. Light bodied, somewhat roasty flavour but most of all; sweet, too sweet.

nick76 (4144) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2006 The aroma has cereal malt, yeast, and some herbal hops. The appearance is orange-gold with a two finger head that fades fast. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s drinkable but not one I would have often.

Cloudy, copper-golden with sweet notes of fruit and nuts. Sweet nutty flavour with a lite bitter end.

OleR (4597) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 29, 2007
Bottle@Tjeldsund, Oslo. Firm, mostely lasting white head over a clear light amber body. Mild and distant aroma of sweet malts and caramel. Taste is malty, clean and rather mellow. Light body, watered down mouthfeel. Short semi-dry finish. Drinkable, but overall a bit neutral.

Bottled. Clear copper color, short head. Aroma of caramel malt, some faint grassy german hop. Quite sweet caramelly taste, bit sticky. Nothing spectacular.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUN 28, 2008
Bottle: Pours a golden amber color with a very light head and nearly no lacing. The nose is slightly sweet and toasty with some light biscuit and plenty of caramelized sugars. The flavor is doughy with some rye bread and more sugars. A thinner body and a little more zest than the Winter Traum but generally the same beer. Odd. The finish is a touch roasty, some honey and grassy hops touch and go rather abruptly but that’s about all.

TBone (11900) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 6, 2009
Bottled (Beerangel, BB 02/2010). Pale copper color, good off-white head, lace. Metal, ash, clover, straw, grass and caramel in the nose - when warms up: barnyard. Crispish carbonation. Ryeish-caramelly malty, vague grassy-flowery hops. Only some metal. Bitter-harsh aftertaste. Biscuity. Unorthodox German Vienna (closer to hoppy Märzen), but not the most balanced one. Finish is also a bit thin for 5.5% German brew.

Lots of Hay/Grass/Straw on the nose. Same in the mouth. Not terribly exciting, but decent.
