Heh, I was right it is Vienna lager, nice light red tone, and nice thick white head. I found that his beer got some light taste of peanuts, nice selection of malt, gentle mixed with hops.

This was really easy to like. Dark brown with a small head. Taste of cookies and cream, chocolate and coffee. Almost no hops, not much complexity, creamy in the mouth. Not a beer to study, just easy to enjoy. Hard to imagine how its ratings could be so low.

Malty sweetness of the aroma invokes sweet honey bread. Light copper/amber in color with a slowly diminishing two finger thick white head. Sweet bready fore..lots of powdered malt/honey sweetness. Very nice lacing and head retention. Solid mouthfeel. Finish is quite clean and abrupt.

This is a very refreshing beer and I could easily drink it all night. The flavor is clean grain with an excellent bite in the finish. The beer is a nice looking - clear golden amber liquid with a healthy white head of foam. There are sweet caramel and sour lemon notes. All around very nice for the style.

Tap at Zum Schneider: Copper golden pour with a dense off-white head. Clean, bready, softly caramelized aroma with a lightly spicy Vienna malt note. Creamy body- clean and firm malt flavor- mildly spicy Vienna malts, substantial but light caramel and bready character with a touch of toasted biscuit. As it warms, even more biscuity, clean and mildly sweet malt subtleties come out. A very good Vienna. I could drink a lot of this.

5l mini cask, bought at the brewery. Clear deep golden colour, large and creamy head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with good aromatic hop flavours. Very slightly fruity. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel, a pleasure!

Another classic easy drinker from the Klostebrau Weltenburger. I’ve so far found their lagers to be amongst the best that Germany has to offer, and this is another on their belt. Tasted from the bottle and poured into a Weltenburger chalice. Clear, burnished copper body with a slight tinge of brown. A flurry of fine carbonation kept the dense and creamy white head in its place for the length and left a little legs. Gritty, dry and grainy nose like rye-bread and plain muesli with the slightest hint of orange peel underneath. Quite sweet, piney and very malty in the mouth; light in body and lively in carbonation. It crossed the tongue with absolute ease and finished off crisp, clean and with a little dried orange peel zest and sugary malt that lingered in the mouth briefly after the swallow. Malt driven, generously flavoured lager that, like the rest of the Weltenburger beers, went down a treat. Roll on the warmer months!!!! (50cL, 06/06/06, Int’l Beer Shop, W. Leederville)
