Nice dark color. large head, quite a nice drink. Hoppy enough, easy to drink, could be a regular drink for me if it was available closer to home!

Bottled version. Poured a clear light amber with a rather thick and lasting white head. Strong apple juice aroma is pleasing. Very malty and sweet tasting beer. Not incredibly rich or complex but sweet and enjoyable. Very solid for this type of thing.

Pours a clear pale golden orange color with golden yellow edges and a 2.5 finger frothy, pillowy off-white head that very slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Large chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Floral, slightly earthy aroma with grassy hops countered by a sweet malt presence. Hints of grass and straw countered by sweet caramel malt as well as some biscuit and toffee in the nose. Faint light fruit. Medium bodied with a crisp hop bite up front that gives off a dry, slightly bitter flavor that is nicely balanced by the earthy and sweet malt notes. Slight floral, pine flavor countered by slightly toasted malt, sweet caramel and toffee. Subtle peppery spice in the finish. Overall this beer isn’t terribly complex but it’s very nicely balanced and pretty flavorful. The best beer I’ve had so far from Weltenburg.

From the 5 liter can. Nice amber color. A rich aroma of fruits, caramel, toffee. Thick, rich malt favor with tons of caramel, butterscotch, and toffee, fruits, a bit of cardboard. Smooth, mild. This started off fantasticly, but got very cloying as I worked my way through the pint.
