BOTTLE 50 CL. Look: clear chestnut body, nice beige head. Aroma: full-on malt! caramel, light sulfur notes. Taste: really malty, but not cloying or overly sweet. Maltiness balanced well by dark roasted breadcrust, light toasty and spicy bitterness. Really nice.

Draught taster @ Noe Is De Bok Vet, Valkenburg. Dark brown, off-white creamy head. Sweet nose and taste with dried fruits, caramel, roasted malts, a little liquorice and a light sour tone. Dry finish. Soft mouthfeel, low carbonation.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear deep ruby, with a large light beige head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Milk chocolate, nutty notes, mild spice hops and savoury notes make up the aroma. Sweet spice hops up front give way to mild coffee and roasted nuts in the mid-palate. The finish is pleasantly savoury. A very nice bock.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2014 pours unclear very dark brown with a creamy beige head showing good retention and lacing. nutty and fruity maltiness - burnt buts and tons of raisins, figs and dried lightly oxidized dark fruits, well integrated burnt caramel, sweet bread, dough, bit of wort - but worth it, you know; hint of smokiness, woodsy astringent notes, some sweetness - brown and burnt sugars, pepper, grass, clean yeast, minerals. light carbonation, medium body - oily, thick, semi-sweet grassy-peppery and softly astringent-tannic finish. very tasty and good! solid.

Clear mahogany brown colour. A sweetish bock packed with dark malts and sweet dried fruits. The alcohol level is just high enough to make the sweetness not overpowering.

Poured deep reddish brown with a dense beige head. Aroma of sweet toasted malt, dark fruit and nuts. Medium body, flavour is as the aroma, moderately sweet with a pleasant nutty finish.
