4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. This pours a very dark brown with a nice layar of tanned head on top. Head leaves fairly quick, within two minutes or so. Very malty based aroma, earthy notes and a light, alcoholic smell to it as well. Flavour is spiced sweet, very full bodied, full of the earthy notes and even a bit of a roasty character, at least there is some burnt caramel and molasses in there. This is an awesome example of how a doppelbock should be in my honest opinion. Too bad I only brought one bottle..

0,5l fles meegebracht uit Duitsland. Diep bruin met een crème kraag. Geur en smaak met een zoet karakter, carmale toffee, in de afdronk ook duidelijk de donkere mout met cacao. Aardige bok

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock has a thick, frothy, creamy, beige head, a dark brown, bubbly appearance, and moderate lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of rich, bready, malt and some strong, dark, slightly-turned fruit. Taste is of all that, with raisin and prune, with anise or licorice notes. Mouthfeel is heavy and syrupy, and Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock finishes sloppy, sweet, and wonderful. RJT

Pours a deep brown with a foamy tan head. It has a rich aroma of caramel, toffee, and toasted malt. The flavor is toasted malt and caramel up front with a toast and toffee finish over a heavy body.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark opaque brown colour with a medium beige head with not so much retention.
Aroma is caramel malts, and dark fruits.
Taste begins sweet caramel but then appear notes to roasted malts and hop to balance it. I like it so much.
After the temperature increase, we can feel warm liquor notes, very pleasant.
Full body. Long finish
