Elegante. Sensacional.

Bottle at home. Pours a very deep, reddish brown colour with a medium, creamy, beige head. Sweet aroma of raisins, leather, wood, maple syrup, chocolate and roasted malt in the background. The flavour is also sweet with more, chocolate, brown sugar, nuts, cocoa and wood. Has a rich and soft mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A wonderful, balanced and sweet bock.

500 ml bottle. Pours Dark amber brown with a thicker tan head with foamy lacing. Smells of sweet caramel. Well balanced taste. You get some malty caramel, sweetness, dark chocolate, and hop bitterness. Creamy and some bubbles across the palate. Excellent fall beer that’s not as sweet as German Marzens. Will be having many of these this fall. Very reasonably priced.

Lekerekített ízjegyek, harmonikus jellemvonások, hamisítatlan bak karakter, mely a stílusok határvonalait némiképp összemosva rejti magában összetett jellegét.

Very very malty. Pours a deep brown-black with a tan head. Smells of roasted nuts, molasses and post-boiled malts. Taste is very malty, with some nuttiness, and an almost too sweet finish. Had in the bottle.

Beige foamy head. Dark red brown about clear body. Lacing lacings. Aroma; chocolate, sweet mocca coffee, crystal brown sugar, floral spices, yeast, apple, pear. Taste; dark sweet caramel, flourish dusty hops, cocoa, megnut, mocca coffee. On palate nice. Finishes still sweet in the dark brown caramel way, with some hops mixed into. Overall decent brew, and a nice supper sipper. [33cl brown btl 6.9%abv BB17.07.14]

Asam Bock pours clear dark reddish amber and sports a tan head of medium lifetime. The nose is pretty reserved for a doppelbock, with scents of dark dried fruits, dark bread, and a hint of sassafras root. The flavor is pretty straightforward and slightly less nuanced than other doppelbocks playing in the same league, being primarily malty-roasty and darkly fruity from the front to mid-palate and ending in a semi-sweet roasty bread crust finish. The texture is thick and creamy and the carbonation is pretty soft. Nice one.

500 ml. Pours a deep, clear mahogany color with a lasting film of cream. Aroma is dates, chocolate, a hint of dark grape and some spicy dry grass. Taste is the same great mix. Medium body has a great balance, and is soft and smooth with a low carbonation.

From bottle. Black pour with off white head. Consistent lacing all the way down. Damp and sweet smelling. Lots of malt notes offset with light ash and smoke. Dull chocolate and candied fruits. Taste is cut from the same cloth. Generally sweet (but never cloying): candied fruits again, molasses and mild roastedness. Medium bodied. Chocolaty finish. Very good. Never overreaches.
