Elegante. Sensacional.

Pours translucent chocolate brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Crisp, malty aroma has an overtone of apple touched with pear. Flavor is considerably richer than the aroma, fuller in character and bringing notes of caramel and cloves into play. Mouthfeel has decent fizz, if average body. Enjoy.

0,5 l bottle from Rudat, bottled on 28/10/2014. Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Pleasant, sweetish-fruity aroma of raisins, plums, amarena cherries and cane sugar. Sweetish-fruity taste of amarena cherries, raisins, plums and cane sugar, accompanied by hints of dark chocolate, nuts and coffee. Medium long, slightly bitter, gently alcoholic and warming finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really nice sipper. Not just sweet and cloying but with a great palate and very harmonic. Good doppelbock!

Horehound candy brown pour with ruby glints in the light. Caramel head with a reddish hue. Once the head settles, it maintains at about a quarter inch. Rich caramel and toffee on the nose. Rich, smooth mouthfeel with just a touch of carbonation. Huge caramel and toffee up front. Finishes a little more fruity with some date and raisin. Very good doppelbock.

Burelka 2000r w Niemczech. Kolor bursztynowy, ciemny, piana średnia trzyma się dzielnie. Aromat karmelu i czekolady. Smak karmel i przyprawy.Lekko kremowe, nagazowanie niskie.

Aardige bok

Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock has a thick, frothy, creamy, beige head, a dark brown, bubbly appearance, and moderate lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of rich, bready, malt and some strong, dark, slightly-turned fruit. Taste is of all that, with raisin and prune, with anise or licorice notes. Mouthfeel is heavy and syrupy, and Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock finishes sloppy, sweet, and wonderful. RJT

Draft at Bierstube. Very dark ruby black pour with a large frothy beige head. Nice full body. Rich (but muted) dark amber flavors. Bruised peaches. Toffee. Peat. Black cherry cordial. Rotted tangerines and nectarines. Light chocolate and carab. Dark herbal florals. Nicely balanced. Great stuff!

Bottle 500ml. Pours dark brown with low light-beige head. Some lacing. Aroma is of apples, fruits, caramel, maple toffee, malt. Taste is of caramel, alcohol, bitterness, roasted malt, dark fruits (and apples/peaches cooked). Some bread. Palate: Full bodied. Soft, lazy carbonation. Sweet. Sticky on the lips. Overall: Tasty lager. Nice yeast/malt features. Slightly too sweet.
