Dark red/brown beer with light brown head. Nice yummie aroma of prunes. The taste has a really good balance between the light roasted taste from the dark malts and a light sweetness from the caramel malts. The prunes are present in the taste as well. When sipping along the sweetness seem to dominate though, but in a good way. Good carbonation and body. This is a really good bock in my opinion!

From Hipercor. In Paulaner glass. Playing Magic 2015. Im not used to this style, so it feels a bit odd to me. However, ot can be drinked without too much suffering.

Scopey (9382) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2015
Bottle from Beer Merchants. It pours dark brown with decent beige. The nose is sweet, cola, dried fruits, fruit cake, earthy, umami, roasted malts and chocolate biscuits. The taste is sweet, rich maltage, roasty malts, toffee, cola, earth, toasty, dried fruits, fruit cake, light alcohol warmth and treacle with sweetish finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Solid malty action.

Bottle, Restaurang Rauhrackel, Lund, 4 June 2015. Pours a dark, ruddy brown/black, good head and lacing. The nose is reticent: whiffs of violets, if that's not too fanciful. Sweet cherries on the palate, heavy mouthfeel yet quite elegant. A good traditional bock and even a bit exotic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours translucent chocolate brown with a fairly thick light tan head. Crisp, malty aroma has an overtone of apple touched with pear. Flavor is considerably richer than the aroma, fuller in character and bringing notes of caramel and cloves into play. Mouthfeel has decent fizz, if average body. Enjoy.

0,5 l bottle from Rudat, bottled on 28/10/2014. Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Pleasant, sweetish-fruity aroma of raisins, plums, amarena cherries and cane sugar. Sweetish-fruity taste of amarena cherries, raisins, plums and cane sugar, accompanied by hints of dark chocolate, nuts and coffee. Medium long, slightly bitter, gently alcoholic and warming finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really nice sipper. Not just sweet and cloying but with a great palate and very harmonic. Good doppelbock!
