wilderthanyou (306), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Mar 4, 2008 Pours a dark mahogany brown with a quickly diminshing head. Aroma is very sweet and malty. The flavour starts with a bit of a metallic taste, but that gives way to big sweet malty flavours, caramel, toffee, and finishes on a light note of licorice. A real tasty brew.
Mitch_Wayne (77), Kokkola, Finland Aug 20, 2008 If you are looking for something very malty this is your beer, it is also very full boided and has great balance along with a nice mouthfeel. The caramelly sweetness in this works very well, the metallic notes play second fiddle and get ignored by me mostly. A highly recommended beer in my books. andreic (15), Australia Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown. Small off white head that didn’t last. Left a little lacing. Smells very malty - cereal/weetbix dominates with some toffee. Tastes very malty as well - toffee, molassas, cereal, with a toasty slightly bitter finish. Its real viscous and syrupy feeling. A tasty beer but perhaps slightly sweet and syrupy for me. cgarvieuk (2302), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 18, 2008 deep red brown ,malt dark berry fruits little toffee, sweet rich caramel malts, little alcohol sweet caramalized suger linger sebletitje (242), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 10, 2008 Tap at Berlin beerfest.
