3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Blake (396) - Orange, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Had from bottle. Pours dark brown with huge frothy tan head. Too much carbonation right off the bat. Aroma is heavy bready malts with a hint of some spices and a bit of toffee. Flavor is full-bodied with bit malts, molasses and roasted toffee. Mouthfeel is less carbonated than the pour and has good body to it. Finishes sweet and satisfying. A solid bock.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Thomasalias (99) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 14, 2012
0,5l from Sörspecialista, Budapest. Beautiful clear ruby color with big frothy off-white head, which disappears quickly. Intensive but smooth odor, caramel, roasty, a bit cheesy and buttery. Alcohol, caramel, roasty, buttery aroma. More pleasent than other bocks. Surprisingly dry taste, the bocks are usually sweeter. Full body with creamy oily texture and average carbonation. It caresses the tongue... Sweet but roasty, creamy, cheesy finish. After drinking the glass smells like the barley malt before mashing. Very complex one. Smoother and more sophisticated than other bocks.
