500ml vom Fass at the Klosterbrauerei, Weltenburg. Deep rustic brown body under a thin white head. Dark chocolate aroma. Buttery caramel come into focus followed by the taste of coarse-grain and notes of dark fruits. The quite lively carbonation gives a foamy mouthfeel (21.06.2007).

500ml. color is garnet and it pours with short off white head. light aroma overall with caramel and soft plum. nice roasty flavor with nuts and caramel making an appearance. the finish has a great hop bite and ends quite cleanly.

(500ml bottle) Malty, "mämminen" aroma. Brownish red appearance with a thin foam. Malty, sweet flavor, balanced and soft palate. Good but lacks of character.

(From a 5 liter keg/fass) Fruity caramell and roasted malt scent. Fruity and grainy taste. Tan head. Thin mouthfeel. Dark brown color.

500ml; Pours a bright rusty red with a large, rocky, cratered head of light tan foam. Rich aroma of brown sugar and gravy. Bit light bodied, nutty, sweet, moderately caramelled. Lightly bready, quite drinkable. (#2981, 6/17/2007)

500ml bottle. Dark brown in colour, light brown head. Hugely rich malty nut aroma, sweet rye bread even. Well-balanced bitter, and very nutty, details over a full, yet refreshing malty body.

(Bottle BB 13/08/07) Malty, dark bread-like and roasted malty aroma. Dark red brown colour and small, light brownish head with a hint of lacing. Malty, dark bread, roasted malty and slightly acidic flavour. Medium-bodied and softly carbonated palate. Very tasty dunkel! 04/05/07

Bottle. Nice head with ok duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, caramel and maybe some chocolate.
