Honey/cola coloured body with a good-size fairly lasting tan head. Meaty brothy aroma. Burnt grain taste along with bonox, malt and a hint of chocolate and caramel, good body feel with a smooth start that carries through to the finish.

Nice dark colour. For me a hard to define taste, a litlle bitter, yet sweet. Nice aroma. Nice aftertaste. Complex.

Cola colour with a persistent beige head. Very sweet and bready aroma. Big roasted malt flavour which is only slightly burnt at the end. I usually don’t like dunkels because the ones I’ve had have been one dimensional. This is more complex and better.

Great deep red-brown colour with brilliant clarity. Good head retention. Aroma of molasses jumps out and dominates - to the point of being slightly off-putting - followed by brown bread, cinnamon, milo, honey and ice cream. Big spicy, grainy maltiness with nice subtle roast and a slight bitterness. Definitely bock-like (reminded me of Salvator). I must say I always thought the description of dunkels as "earthy" was a bit weird but this one certainly fits the bill. Well made and nice, but not outstanding.

bottled. dark deep ruby colour. rich cocoa, prune and cream aroma, maybe a little black forest cake in there. plenty of guts and doppelbock character. some golden syrup flavour and a little sourness and faint hint of smokiness. light passionfruit in the finish. classy stuff, i love dunkels like this

Dark reddish colour with average off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some caramel and dark fruits. Flavor has a light sweetness with notes of roasted malts. dry bitter finish.

Dark ruby-red colour. Quickly diminsihing head. Aroma is malty of the caramalt variety. Tastes caramelly, malty, like bavarian malt candy (though, I guess that won´t tell most people much), but not that sweet. Light to medium-bodied. Not the best Dunkel I´ve had, but still good.

Pours brownish ruby red with moderate head. Sweet, bready yet caramel nose. Flavor rich with maltiness with mild sweetness. Nice clean finish.
