3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nutbrown liquid with a nice, tan head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Bitterness is low, not many hops here. Taste is roasted malts and caramel, but its quite smooth , only gets a bit dry towards the end. Pretty good value, these sell for around 1€ /50 cl bottle, in "El Corte ingles" in spain.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
50cl bottles, Maruhn 2013. World class dunkel, setting old new Old World subtle standards in chocolate roast and dryness while remaining very sessionable at under 5%. Heiße Maroni, undercurrents of bock fruitiness. Pinnacle of back-to-basics bottom-fermenting, liquid elegant simplicity. Is it a coincidence that this is the 2nd world-class brewery in Kelheim with a flavour/yeast profile wholly its own?

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This pours a clear, dark amber color with a slight, foamy head. The aroma is inviting with toasted malts and hazelnut tones. This is highly drinkable with a smooth texture and a decent sweet grain taste that is perfect for the style. Very well made and delicious.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma; tannins, roasted malts, spices, notes of leather, egg, earthy notes, hints of rotten potato, but most of all herbs and spices.
Beige to off white head, brown red body, some dots and even curtain down the mug.
Taste; confectionery, caramel malts, chocolate, butter caramel,
To palate easy, balanced, carbonated as it feels a bit foamy-creamy.
Finishes with malts, dark fruits, roasted grains, tasty. Overall worth an award. Ein sehr schönes Dunkelbier! Vielen Dank!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark rubin color with a big brown head, nice appearance. Smell is roasted malts, bread crust and caramel. Taste is similar, but weaker I would say, a bit too waterish, there is not much aftertaste.
An average dunkel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500 ml, thanks to McTapps. Into a snifter, ABV 4.7%
Deep red ruby colour on the body, head is one finger tall and tan in colour with very good retention. Light lacing on the glass
Aroma is nutty with nice toffee and chocolate notes.
Taste follows, nutty, light roasted malts, a bit of toffee with a nice bitterness on the finish and the aftertaste.
Medium thin body, okay carbonation, nice dryness on the palate.
Overall more than decent, very enjoyable.
