0.5 l bottle from Systembolaget. Golden to copper color with creamy head. Malty, honeyish and toffeish aroma. The flavor is very much the same. Good fresh maltiness, that’s all.

Bottle at one of chris o’s tastings. Alround rating: Decent biscuity malts, peppery herbal hop, balanced and tasty.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a diminshed white head. Aroma is mild citric and towards cornish. Light breadish and cornish with a light bitterness and lingering malty finish. Smooth and easy but a bit simple too.

larsga (6140) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2008
Big offwhite lasting head. Coppery body. Earthy pea aroma with oily notes. Dry-sweetish taste of straw, earth, peas, and grain with oily grassy notes. Very harmonic. Smooth, faintly oily mouthfeel. Fullish body. Clean palate. Dry grassy strawy earthy aftertaste. Extremely drinkable, yet interesting and full of flavour. Very nice. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

Bottle, 5.3%. Weak malty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is OK malty, low bitterness. Hint of cardboard. Not bad, but quite boring.

Draft. Amber minor head, a lot of sweets and malts. Nothing super-special but a decent Marzen.

500 ml bottle. Deep golden colour. Crystal clear. Tall white fine-laced head. Crisp straw-like hop aroma. High carbonation level. Rich malty flavours, but the carbonation cuts through most of it. Feels quite strong. Surprisingly malty given the alcohol content. Quite bitter flavour and aftertaste, but it ends abruptly. Very nice Oktoberfest beer.

Light amber color with thin small head. Malty taste with hints of citrus and a slight bitterness, quite refreshing.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2009 Pours a light copper color with a large white foam. Nice. The aroma is a bit weird. Lots of butterscotch-like aromas in there, which I find a bit weird and surprising. It actually smells quite much for a lager, but I’m not sure if I like it that much... The taste is pretty clean, malty, sweet with a little bitterness and a slight note of citrus. Mostly this is a malty beer. No trace of butterscotch here. Weird, but that’s positive I think. Mouthfeel is okay. Not that much carbonation. Good. Maybe a bit watery though. Drinkability is good though. I finished my beer too fast... now my glass is almost empty.

Joakgust (838) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2008
50 cl bottle - Golden amber colored beer with a small but thick head. Aroma is rather sweet with hints of caramel, hard bread and some nuts. Flavor is filled with caramel notes combined with a good balanced maltiness. Bitterness was sort of lacking, but I suppose I have myself to blame for having an DIPA before this one.
