The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, and with a slightly bitter end. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 27, 2002 Amber colour. Loads of chewy malt. Balanced malt sweetness, some fruitiness. Bitter finish. Drinkable, well balanced and satisfying. A very good example of the style. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 18, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful dark amber golden color and a small, tight head. Incredibly delicious and full toffee flavor with a distinct hoppy bitterness. Actually resembles good English ales, but Oktober Festbier is bottom fermented naturally. A treat for the palate. 220803 joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 26, 2006 Bottle.
