Aroma: saaz with a touch of apple. Apperance: pale gold with a good head that leaves bubbly lacing. Flavour: grainy quite a bit of hops. Palate: gentle carbonation medium mouthfeel and finishes reasonably balanced sweet and bitter.

From 5l keg. Nice foamy head. Golden colour, slightly pale and cloudy. Floral aroma. Slightly malty, very sweet for a Pilsener. Floral hops. Almost no bitterness in the finish. This Pilsener is somewhat out of style, tasting more like a Helles. I like it though.

(16.9 oz bottle, $2.65) Not being part of some massive global conglomerate, I expected better with this beer; I like the balance of this beer, but the malt tastes somewhat grainy and sweet, and the flavor just seems kind of light in general; Pretty mild hops quietly sits in the background, not doing much; A little heavier on the palate than some other German pilseners; Medium yellow in color and a bit hazy; Just not much going on in the nose, a bit of corn aroma, perhaps smelling faintly of tea, but I’m not getting any hops; Foamy, white head is of average size on the pour, but takes its time dying down to a thin layer, and then exhibits excellent head retention; Not too much lacing however, and it’s very sporadic

This is a really nice pilsner, great golden color with a tall white head. Aroma is slightly straw, with a nice sweet malt finish over it. Taste is very clean and refreshing with a light maltiness toward the start and a good hopped balance for the finish.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2005 20 Aug 2004 Fruit floral hop aroma. Clear light yellow orange colour, decent head, reasonable suds lacing. Some fruit flavour but needs more malt. Medium mouthfeel and there is not enough malt or sweetness/fruit to balance, but a nice lingering finish.

Hoppy sweet aroma. Clear yellow colour that looks like it’s been through someone. Good head. Sweet hop flavour. Fizzy palate.

Good lace and white head. SRM around 3-4 nice and yellow. Medium high carbonation. Aroma is malty along with flavor, the later subsides to a balanced light hop finish. Sligly dry more from hop bill rather than mash... good session beer. Cheers

Had this at the Bier Garden in Portsmouth VA on 8-7-04. Hazed blond body with a medium white head. Aroma is mild yeast with some grains/straw and malt. Taste is yeasty with grassy and malty notes. Slightly fruity tones hiding in there as well. Palate is medium and lively with some decent carbonation. Finish is malt with light grassy notes. Pretty good!

Slight wort-like aroma with a bit of a yeasty undertone and a bit of pepper making its way in at the end. Light, but persistent white head with light lacing. Slightly cloudy, pale gold appearance. Flavor has hints of yeast, with some biscuity maltiness filtering through. Slightly sweet and somewhat refreshing. Decent, almost creamy mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation. Very workable Pils.

Bright yellow/gold in colour. Aromas are sweet grain with zesty citrus notes. Flavours are also grain with soft malts and some citrus bite. I was reminded of lemon sherbert sweets. Quite floral hops are evident but this lacks bitterness or dryness on the finish. A refreshing pils.
