Pretty standard pils, but quite nice all the same. Good use of saaz, went down the hatch ok. What more can I say? Any sublety lost on me a bit though. I guess I don't really get into pilsners too much...

It was alright, a decent pilsener. There were a few flavors that I don't really remember, but that's ok, I'm over 75 characters now.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2007 this is the sort of beer that most ratebeerers don’t like, i.e. delicate and dry. has super-attenuated green-yellow colour, and familiar pencil shavings and herbs aroma of good north-german pils - strange coming from a bavarian beer. dry, woody, husky barley grain flavour, herbal hop flavour, then a very long, lemony, dry and bitter finish. the bitterness increases throughout the finish and gradually coats your mouth. definitely a classy pils. rer8: bumping it up a bit. quinine bitter finish! aniseed! oregano! pencil shavings! gives you honey malt sweetness then takes it away with pepper dryness. when you get it fresh this one’s a winner.rer8 again: stuff you all i still love this beer. gin and tonic in beer form. rer8: a bit of metal lurking in finish unfortunately - still great stuff otherwise

Very pale pour with a small noble hop aroma. One of those easy drinking summer beers that down my part of the world is not quite appropriate at the moment. This is the sort of beer that a non serious drinker would say is not a bad beer.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2004 Slightly hazy yellow with a large, creamy white head. The aroma was full of bread, grass, peppery, and some hops. The flavor was on the sweet side...bread/yeast, grass, perfumey hops bite, and even a slight hint of cocoa (?). Slightly thick feel, yet very crisp and refreshing. Nice.

Good head, yellow color. Sour malt and aroma hops. Very intense flavour. Interesting.

Very nice dry pilsner with incredibly long bitter, almost minty aftertaste. The foamy head is a masterpiece as well.

Slightly hazy light lemon yellow in appearance with a large rocky head. Crisp citrus hop aroma. First sip is mildly pleasant but after that it taste of cardboard. A waxy bitter aftertaste. Bleech.

Interesting appearance: PGC with very faint greenish tinge. A large erectile lasting fine bubbled creamy white head tha generates some blobbly ring lace. Faint mild hops and albumen aroma. Very faint hint of sweet floral nectar as it warms. Soft smooth medium fullness body. Decent sharp bitter hoppy start but it's downhill from there. A short characterless light sweet middle and finish. Aftertaste is a tad harsh bitter and chemical tasting. Somewhat disappointing.

JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 6, 2003
Slightly hazy straw color with a tall white 7 minute head. Aroma of light honey and pilsner malt. Lacks true pils hops aroma. Silky feel. Cardboard flavors, truly oxidized (I really dislike old samples). Thick chunks of head stick to the glass. With the age, seems more like a helles than a pils. Very gassy. Compaired to their other brews, this one is not nearly as clean and satisfying.
