3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It pours a pale yellow color with a creamy white head. There is a tiny amount of carbonation and small spots of lacing.
The aroma has the standard pil elements. Some grains some yeasty notes
The flavor actually has a creamy feel too it for a pilsner. I am getting a good dose of grains and some sweet malt.It is well balanced
It finishes with a little dry and some grassy bitterness. To be honest I find pil’s to be somewhat boring sometimes. But this is something I would reach for again.

Honestly, not the best pilsener I’ve had. A little bit of unpleasant bitterness in the hops.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This isn’t a bad pilsener, however I probably wouldn’t buy it again because it is too bitter for the amount of flavour it contains - the bitterness tends to dominate more than it should. Still a pleasent drink though.
ADDED 1 December: It seems Oakes is complaining about people rating pilsner beers low due to their bitterness. I realise this is the style buht in my opinion the bitterness here is too dominant.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty normal Pilsner flavors. Nothing off, typical Pilsner taste., I would to have this fresh. This beer did not disappoint but also was not memorable.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear, bright yellow pour. Topped by a white, frothy, lacy head with real staying power. Firm cracker malt, a touch of honey, and vibrant saaz aromatics. Flavor is clean grain, honey-kissed crackers, and a touch of lemongrass. Light body, perfect carb, and great herbal/floral bitterness in the finish.
Awesome, old-school pils? Yes.

Meh, it’s fine, does everything a pilsner should do I guess. Smells normal, looks normal, tastes as you expect it too. I wasn’t blown away by this but nor was I disappointed. Solid, dependable you might say.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2008 Aroma hops and light malt, boring. Good sized, long lasting, white creamy head. Clear straw-yellow and amber hue. Good palate; soft, slightly oily, low carbonation, with long lasting bitter finish. But neutral and bland initial flavour blending to a strong bitter hop finish. Boring and simple, lacks flavour. Perhaps I’m just not a pilsner fan. Not worth paying premium for this import.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice thick white head over a pale golden body. Grassy and fruity aroma, extremely volatile at pouring. Sweet hops at first touch, with a developing bitterness. Nice grassy aftertaste. Very small bubbles, but fizzy palate makes a very refreshing but full bodied pils. Thumbs up !
