Fresh grassy and aromatic hop aroma. Golden, microscopic bubbles, lacing white head. The flavor has an overall field theme: Low level Hayish malt isbase for a nice grassy hop profile. Medium body, soft mouthfeel with a bit of tickling carbonation. Dry bitterhop exit. A quite nice pils.

Poured from a bottle, the fairly dense foam rises nicely, not overly carbonated. There is just a bit of lacing. The head dies down to about 1/2" after 2-3 minutes to almost nothing after that. Very pale yellow in color. Smells more malty than most pilsners. Tastes more malty than most pilsners, as well. A bit of a malt / fruit / yeast aftertaste, but fairly mild. Decent beer but not ultra smooth like others in this category.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear lighter yellow straw color with a fantastic tall dense but airy frothy white head, the kind that’ll stick around and leave you a mustache. Aroma is slightly tangy at first, sharp, fruity, some apple, grassy, becomes doughy after a while. Flavor is typical Weltenburger subtlety, extremely well balanced, soft and quaffable, some sharp slightly tart apple, a bit doughy, herbal, lemon-grass, finishing super clean, yeasty with medium bitterness. A perfect palate, medium/light bodied, soft carbonation with a faint sizzle, super clean but with enough substance to make it worthwhile. Great dry finish. This makes me crave pizza.

This is very polished. Dark yellow. Tasty. Banana, grain. Marshmellow. Thin head. This tastes like history. Thanks Seymour.

Bottle @ home picked up @ Wilbur’s Fort Collins. I’ve never seen Weltenburger in Fort Collins but the bottles that have shown up in Denver were less than satisfactory. I think I’ve had this one time and that was at Kelheim. Pours a fairly clear golden appearance with a touch of haze and a nice white head. Big herbal pils, cracker malty, fairly dry, lightly mineralic aroma. A touch sweet but fairly dry, pils malty, straw, moderately herbal hoppy flavor. Easy drinking and one of the freshest German Pils I’ve had in Colorado in quite a while. May have to pick up a couple of more.

Shared from tall German brown bottle into a tulip. It poured a beautiful golden/light-amber color with moderate white head and nice lace. Extremely complex aromas of freshly-cut husky grains, characteristically vanilla/marshmallow pils essence, flowery and peppery noble German hops, faint banana, honey. 100% true-to-style pilsner flavors, grainy, bittersweet, mildy fruity and spicy, with an excellence and refinement I find difficult to explain. Elegantly delicious. Light-medium body, faint mineral water essence, crusty French bread mouthfeel, crisp and clean finish. Highly recommended.

The aroma! Smells like scotch and coke. This is probably just me. I love the crystal clearness of the beer, you can see right through it, the carbonation is beautiful. I love the initial honey sweet taste it’s got going for it while at the same time keeping the traditional bitterness that I expect from a good pils, however that bitterness lingers on the tongue for just too long earning it an 8 rather than a 9-10, but this is forgivable enough. It’s thick yet medium body accentuate the bitterness which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on personal preferance. over all it’s a damn decent beer and gets a bonus from me for being the sweetest pils i’ve had. Props to the brewery

Draft. Pours golden yellow with light white head that laces nicely. Very little visible carbonation. Nice German pils flavor typical of the style. Very drinkable and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
