UPDATED: NOV 27, 2012 Poured from the bottle a semi-cloudy orange/amber color, with a modest foamy head with shorter retention, but decent cling and lacing. The aroma had a malt/barley liquor scent with hints of fruit, perhaps apricot, and also some floral tones, light hops, and hints of yeast and straw. The taste was somewhat bitter with a grainy-malt blend and a sour mix of fruity and floral tones along with a touch of yeast. The beer featured low carbonation with a flat body and a somewhat wet and watery lifeless feel with a subtle alcohol presence and a light, thinnish mouthfeel.

Hmmm. Not sure what any of this had to do with Winter, but it was a decent lager. Toasted malt aroma and sweet. Appearance was reddish/brown in color, off-white head with minimal retention. Sort of melted to a scummy foamy head. Flavors were sweet, minimal hops, clean. Not bad, but not really something you can find elsewhere. Still wondering what any of this had to do with Winter.

Pours a clear amber color with a white, rocky head. Aroma is of sweet candy. Not a substantial body, thin for a winter offering. Sweet, malty character, faint caramel, not very complex. Avoid.

Light tinny aroma with nice malty sweetness. Has a bit of corn sweetness though I doubt it’s corn. Hoppy notes though somewhat papery. Medium amber gold clear with a slight haze. Off-white foamy rocky lacing head. Medium light body with medium carbonation. Starts with some mild sweetness and good maltiness. There’s a bit of vegetable sweetness and maybe buttery diacetyl. Metallic and tangy bitter finish. Dusty stale hops flavor with malty nutty after. Drinkable with decent sweet balance, but nothing too remarkab

Bottle. A hazed light brown (tea) color. A medicinal malty, caramel and earthy aroma and flavor. A touch of light fruit and sweetness. A miled watery body without much substance.

Ah, not that impressive a beer, poured an amber light brown color, not really red or copper in there. Head was normal, lacing weak. Aroma was not pleasant, really metallic (yes in the aroma) and maybe some odd chemicals in there with some grass and herbal notes. The flavor was biscuity, grassy, caramel, herbs, faint metallic notes. Mouthfeel was moderate and carbonated. Why this is a vienna is beyond me. A weak beer, needed more nuts and bread and toastiness to score higher for me.

One of those little pony-kegs (gift to me). Got it nice and chilly. Poured with a nice head but thats where the experience stopped. The flavor was flat, nothing to say at all. Maybe hoppy beers have ruined me to enjoy anything else. I’m not sure I will even drink anymore, it may simply get tossed. I don’t have the patience to drink this thing "just because it’s there" I’d rather really enjoy my beer.

Pours copper with a sudsy soapy off-white head. The aroma has musty caramel, butterscotch and milkshake malt - aroma just seems off. Smooth medium body with a good amount of soft carbonation. Starts with honey / caramel / dry caramel / smooth malt / lightly nutty. Fairly smooth. The finish is a bit spicy with a cardboard taste. Fairly bland overall. There are much better Viennas out there.

I really like this beer. When compared to its own type of beer, its getting an 86% rating in its category, that says enough.
