A bit hoppy and has enough alcohol to constitute a ’winter warmer’. Not my bag. Fizzy.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rich42 (128) - USA - JUL 14, 2002
medium bodied - fairly sweet. not much hoppiness. has that ’uncooked’ cookie-doish flavor that many winter beers do. I usually like winter beers - but this isn’t really my style - needs more backbone.

Smooth n’ rounded. The bitterness comes late but is very pleasant.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ernest (5646) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 23, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2008 Bottle (BB Feb 09). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, malt syrup, cookie, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. A tired, rough, uninspiring example. The brewers seem to just be phoning this in.
