Two fingers of head on a cloudy copper colored body. The aroma is malty, barnyard, hay and caramel. It borders musty, but it’s still nice. The flavor has a malt sweetness, mild bitterness and a curious spice note at the end. Smooth texture with low carbonation and heavier body. An enjoyable beer. The taste is a bit different with the spice, but it’s a good addition.

Many thanks to Finn for a 500ml bottle, 5.4 % abv, of this one. Beautiful appearance with a decent, almost white coloured body fading slowly on top of a crystal clear, golden brown coloured body. Lace sheet to the glassware. Smooth aroma of caramel malts, herbs and grain. Malty flavour containing caramel, nuts, earth, herbs and almond. Dry malty finish. A warming, malt-accented beer that fits the season (Tromsø, 04.01.2013).

Flaske 0,5l fra Alko Muonio. Drukket hjemme 5 Des 12. Lys gyldenbrun med et høyt luftig skum som varer lenge. Litt lacing. Søt maltaroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Søt mandelsmak med litt syrlighet etterhvert. Bra - men litt kjedelig. Hadde større forhåpninger til denne.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2013 Bottle. BBE 13/06/13. Thanks Hart. Pours an orange yellow with a small, white head. Aroma is bready maltiness, malt bread. Taste is much of the same breadiness with light cardboard. Caramel and herbal hops make an appearance on the finish. Light and carbonated. What it says on the tin.

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Copper color. Sweet slightly toasty malt and herbal hops. Sweet slightly toasty and slightly caramelly flavor with honey, herbal hops and low bitterness. Medium body. Feels ordinary and reastrained for a seasonal beer, but goes well with various foods.

Bottle from Alko. Amber color, white head. Malty taste with toast, citrus, spices, hay and a bit of caramel. Quite thin body. A bit sour finish with toast. Ok brew, but lacks depth.

Bottle from BierLand, Hamburg. Pours an amber-brown with a clingy white head and a light aroma of buttered toast. Palate is initially dry, then malty and a little nutty, with some burnt caramel, a very faint hint of banana, and a burnt-bitter finish. A well-balanced combo of Vienna and Winterbier.
