Clear amber color/ beige head. Fruit berry sweet, yeasty metallic, brown sugar aromas. light body. Flavors of malty pumpernickel toast, with a brown sugar coated salmonberry earthy sweetness. not bad.

50 cl bottle (5,4%) @ home, BBE 19.06.2013
Aroma has toffee, roasted notes, nuts and hints of metal. Flavour starts with grassy hops and finishes with nuts, some toffee and caramel. Also some distant metallic notes on some sips, which seems to be the curse of this beer style. A solid vienna.

Braudog (5890) - Traveling the USA, Missouri, USA - MAR 9, 2007
Tried this first at a Bon Vivant tasting, and brought home a 0.5L bottle to enjoy further. This pours with a uniquely amber color for a German brau, dog (ha!), looking American ... kinda like a European tourist wearing white sneakers. Anyway, the aroma ends the illusion, a full-force blast of cookie-maltiness with a sharp sweet tinge at the end. That Teutonicness carries into the flavor, bready, doughy, and sweet ... toffee, butter, and maybe a little green raisin. Pretty sweet for a "Vienna", but this is an enjoyable quaff nonetheless. Grassy bitterhop notes with a bisquit background. Orange amber with a lowish creamy head. Nice broad hop flavors on top of a firm malt body. Hops are fresh and malt is fruity, I do not think this is a beer which ages or travels well. It is nice finally to taste a well-done german fall/winter seasonal.

Bottle (50 cl) from bierzwerg.de. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Bready and sugary malt aroma, with grassy and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry with medium bitterness.

Cornfield (5541) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2006
Nice pour, a bright copper/orange with a creamy, light beige head. The aroma is a sweet bready malt with some caramel highlights and a faint herbal hopping. The caramel dominates the flavor along with a light almond bitterness. Sweet yet dry finish. A very sessionable Vienna.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUN 28, 2008
Bottle: Pours a thin amber color, maybe tawny. Very little head and zero lacing. Plenty of carbonation in the bottle, but somehow none of it effects the mouthfeel. The nose is slightly toasty with a subtle rye and brown sugar note. The flavor is meaty and bready but has a very low acidity and high residual attenuation so it feels flat and lame on the palate. Chewy body, decent melanoidins but a lack of umami and adequate carbonation fail to fly this kite very high.
