An incredibly smooth. Has an incredibly smooth flavor. Actually quite a tasty beer. Has sort of a sweet creamy texture and flavor.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jmuhops (666) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - NOV 29, 2007
Pours hazy amber-brown with a large off-white head. Malty aroma: very sweet and bready, with a touch of raw grain. Light metallic notes. Caramel malt in the flavor alongside biscuity, tangy, almost rye-ish flavors. There’s a hint of smokiness that gives this one a winter-ish slant. Tasty, elegant little lager. Who cares which season it’s named after?

Nice pour, a bright copper/orange with a creamy, light beige head. The aroma is a sweet bready malt with some caramel highlights and a faint herbal hopping. The caramel dominates the flavor along with a light almond bitterness. Sweet yet dry finish. A very sessionable Vienna.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 henrikb (1257) - Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 28, 2006
Clear cobber colored body, big off-white head; Huge full super malty nose, a bit to the sweeter side very, very pleasant with some orange peel aromas; The body is a bit thin, but the very soft full carbonation gives a very nice impression; It finishes long with a thin texture and lots of full malty aromas. Another super well made German beer.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 cking (1175) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2007
Rated 2/6/07: I, like some of the others here got excited about finding this bottle being labeled as a "winter" brew, and then experienced sadness when I found out it was only a Vienna Lager......but after drinking this I am a happy man. Maybe the mood was just right but this one really hit the mark tonight. Nothing unrealistic in relation to the style just a pleasant example. Sweet aroma, very bready/biscuity with a hint of stinging sour fruit. Beautiful light amber pour with a frothy head and a nice ring of lacing at the top. Sharp mouthfeel, clean and simple. Nice toasted flavor mixed in with an ample helping of sweet malt. Lightly hopped supplying a quick burst of bitterness. Doesn’t excel in any category but overall I give it a deserving 8 for sheer enjoyment.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Drake (6500) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - NOV 27, 2008
500 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium head, low head retention and average lacing. Toasted malt aroma with subtle caramel and hop notes. Toasted malts in the taste also with some green apple, caramel and hops. The hops are slightly more assertive in the taste but are still pretty much in
the background. Medium bodied. Very nice.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 popery (1119) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Good sessionable German beer. Winter-Traum pours a slightly darker shade than the Anno 1050, so about the color of a new penny, clear and with a big white head. It’s also less sweet and spicier than that beer. There’s a big lemon note and some darker specialty malts present in small amounts. There are a lot of malt notes bouncing around.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Finhead (914) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JAN 20, 2011
A clear copper pour with a fluffy, tan head. It has a malty aroma that resembles cinnamon bread. The light body has a slightly thin texture with soft carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a smooth finish.

A: The pour is clear amber in color with a finger of slightly off-white head.
S: Nice and sweet with a surprising amount of fruit character. I get lots of stone fruits like peaches, plums, and cherries with brown sugar and toffee. Creamy caramel notes with almost no hop aroma.
T: Sweet sugar (mostly brown sugar) with a light citrus note and some more cherry, peach, and plum fruit sweetness. Toffee and caramel sweetness is also there along with some lightly toasted bread.
M: Somewhat light in body with a moderate carbonation.
O: This was a nice beer. A bit sweet, but still pretty easy to drink and enjoyable.
