GBBF. Cask. Clear brown beer. Dry palate. Ok brown malts. Reasonable well balanced with some tangy fruits. Quite a bitter aftertaste. Ok.

Cask (handpump) at the Great British Beer Festival (day 3) on 4 August 2011. Very dark brown colour, almost black. No head to speak of. Distinctly fruity - dark berries, plums and maybe raisins. Also chocolate and moderately roasted malt, particularly on the palate. Some, slightly burnt, bitterness. Very tasty, if difficult to categorise. I tend to find Weltons beers a bit hit and miss but this one was a definite hit.

Clear dark brown colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20110803]

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours black with no head. Vague roast, coffee, ashes and fruit. Smooth. Tasty.

Cask @ GBBF 2011. A black colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of roasted malts with coffee. The taste of bitter coffee with some fruits. The aftertaste is long bitter with some sweets.

Cask at GBBF 2011 - Tuesday. Brown - offwhite head. Sweetness, roasted, chocolate, raisins, light smokey, light bitterness, mould, earthy, wooden/forrest.

Cask@GBBF2011. Quite much black colour, not much head. Aroma is liquorice, wood and some mild raisins as well. Flavour is toasted malts, mild roasted notes, some slight wooden and sweet malty notes.
