Clear dark brown colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20110803]

From cask at The Plough and Harrow, London. A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted barley and caramel, as well as hints of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of chocolate and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

From cask at The Plough and Harrow. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malty, light breadish and toffee. Breadish and roasted malt into the finish. Nice roasted.

Cask@GBBF2011. Quite much black colour, not much head. Aroma is liquorice, wood and some mild raisins as well. Flavour is toasted malts, mild roasted notes, some slight wooden and sweet malty notes.
