Bottle from Arden Wines, possibly conditioned as there are a few grains of detritus at the bottom of the glass. Bright yellow-gold with a few streaks of lace and a thinning white collar. Obviously honeyed aroma with biscuit, Lockets and apple sauce hints. Bittersweet; notes of cream, pastry and..yes, honey on the palate, but compensated by some mildly astringent hop in the finish. Alternates disjointedly between extremes. Not really my thing, but reasonably well done. At least it’s not tooth- rottingly sweet.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2010 Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a lacing and dissipating white head. Aroma is malty and fruity with the honey being really downplayed. Body is light, mouthfeel really, really smooth. The honey comes out a little more now, but it’s really still just a wee whiff. Lightly hoppy finish. 230110

Cask. Clear golden with a small white head. Sweet honey aroma. Medium body, flat with sweet fruits and honey accents. Rather subdued bitterness - this is honey al the way through. 6/3/6/3/12=12 170110

Tasted 15/03/2009. 500ml bottle courtesy of BozoNZ. Very hazy yellow gold, thick white creamy foam, sweet honeyish malt, some floral notes, with a strong nettle-like hop flavour and long strong bitterness. Better than the average honey beer but still reasonably yada yada...

500 ml brown bottle, thanks to oh6gdx and chris_o. ABV is 4.3%. Golden brownish colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Floral aroma with distinct notes of heather and honey. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty but also earthy, notes of honey but not too much, and there is a distinct hoppy and resinous bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Quite interesting beer.
