3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted 15/03/2009. 500ml bottle courtesy of BozoNZ. Very hazy yellow gold, thick white creamy foam, sweet honeyish malt, some floral notes, with a strong nettle-like hop flavour and long strong bitterness. Better than the average honey beer but still reasonably yada yada...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml brown bottle, thanks to oh6gdx and chris_o. ABV is 4.3%. Golden brownish colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Floral aroma with distinct notes of heather and honey. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty but also earthy, notes of honey but not too much, and there is a distinct hoppy and resinous bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Quite interesting beer.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with distinct honey notes. Fruity taste with honey, tropical fruit and a slightly soapy, citrussy bitterness in the finish. Fairly sweet honey character. Refreshing but hardly exciting.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting
Slightly hazy golden brown with a thin white head. Biscuity malt base with some faint fruit and corn with a slight hit of hops right at the death. Cheap tasting honey spoils it throughout.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at GBBF 08. Clear golden amber with a small white head. The intense pure honey aroma hits your nose long before you get the glass to your lips. Given how honey dominates the aroma, the beer is surprisingly hoppy on the tongue and has a decent dry finish. Very much a non-standard honey beer that a lot of brewers could learn from when knocking up their over-sweet honey concoctions.
