Bottle, bought @ Bargain Beers, Sheffield.
Pours clear golden with a nice, medium, frothy, white head. Lots of bubbles. Aroma is softly hoppy, light pine, grainy malts. Soft carbonation, rather watery. Flavour is softly malty, some flowery and piney hops. But little else.

Bottle. Orange and slightly cloudy.Fruity and unusual flavour. Quite a lot of body considering its fairly low strength. Interestingly different.

Cask at The Market Porter. Golden-amber ale. Aroma is quite light and spicy. Rich pale malts and a spicy/sweet Golding hoppiness. Soft palate with low bitterness and rich pale malt character. Some light breadiness. Simple, but well-constructed highly drinkable session ale.

A Mes rate: cask at the Coalheavers Arms, Peterborough.
Golden brown with a thin white rim. Way way way too much flowery poncey tea character. If I wanted something like this I would go to a posh tea shoppe but I don’t I want a good beer and this is certainly not one. In all honesty I don’t think the Coalheavers has done this justice. Similar to the Gryphon this feels a little green to me but if that’s how it is served that’s how I’m going to have to rate it.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber gold with a small white head. Faint warm malt aroma. Buttery malt taste, a little sourness and a mid bitter finish. Lots of flavour for a 3.8% beer.
