Hazy high yellow gold with a thin, fizzy, frothy, no lace, diminishing, off-white head. Smells of toasted and caramel malt, sweet fruit, buttery, with a sharp grassy hops and flowers. Medium watery body with soft carbonation. Tastes of hops and dry toasted finish. Citrus and pine needles. Rather enjoyable and easy to drink.

On cask at White Star, Stoke. Pours golden with stiff white head. Very, very dry. Overpowering pepper, hard work really.

Bottle from Bernie’s Real Ale Off License, Solihull, Poured a cloudy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is dry crisp and with a little citrus fruit. The flavour is grapefruit sour that dominates the beer. It’s fine initially but it takes over and lingers through into the finish. I struggled to finish the whole bottle. Not very unpleasant I’m sad to say. This is sour, but not in a good way at all.

Phil: Pretty OK hoppy bitter. Nice fruitiness. Good balance. Anna: Aroma’s a bit dull. Soft sweetish palate. Pretty OK. More grains than hops. Phil is shit.

500ml bottle - fresh citrus nose, hazy straw coloured body, white head. Reasonably solid palate, with a zesty citrus taste and aftertaste. Not bad.

Cask @ JDW David Macbeth Moir, Musselburgh
Straw colour, clear. dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - slight sweet fruity pale malts
Taste - Soft quite sweet pale malts, bit of citrus zest, soft cereal, lots of bitter hops.
Palate - soft carb, thinninsh body but a bit oily texture. Palate is bitter bitter. Finish - lots of bitter cereal hops...way over lingering and a bit mineraly.
Overall - The finish was way too bitter and lingering for me - it’s a metallic cereal sort of bitterness. Maybe it was an off batch considering the other comments here

Hazy gold beer. Frothy white head. A slow persistent gusher but doesn’t smell or taste infected. Light palate, crispy and semi dry. Creamy dry malt. Fresh hops - grapefruit and a whisper of orange. Some minerals before a dry finish. Respectable.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Hazy straw colour with a thin white head; citrus aroma; clean citrus flavour with a fruity malty body; and a tart, sharply bitter finish. A straightforward but enjoyable summer ale.
