Hazy high yellow gold with a thin, fizzy, frothy, no lace, diminishing, off-white head. Smells of toasted and caramel malt, sweet fruit, buttery, with a sharp grassy hops and flowers. Medium watery body with soft carbonation. Tastes of hops and dry toasted finish. Citrus and pine needles. Rather enjoyable and easy to drink.

On draught from The Nelson Arms, Middleton by Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Grassy hop aroma, golden ale with a slight haze. Sweetcorn & grapefruit, course hop finish, way too much. I struggled with this one, poor balance between the malt and hops.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickers, 28/12/13 - dem pesky golden blondes! Lightly hazed golden with a good sized off white cap. Nose is floral hop, tangy citrus leanings, bitter orange, lightly toasted malt. Taste comprises peach notes, bitter orange, dank hop presence, hint of grapefruit. Medium bodie, fine carbonation, drying bitterness in the closure. This cask was fresh on and showed itself to be a GB in fine fettle!

Clean, pale gold, thin white head, some lacing. Fresh citrus hops on the nose. Medium bodied, lots of hops, perhaps a tad too much, the whole taste part seems a wee bit unbalanced, Iíve had worse tho! Bottle from B&M.

Bottle from Bernieís Real Ale Off License, Solihull, Poured a cloudy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is dry crisp and with a little citrus fruit. The flavour is grapefruit sour that dominates the beer. Itís fine initially but it takes over and lingers through into the finish. I struggled to finish the whole bottle. Not very unpleasant Iím sad to say. This is sour, but not in a good way at all.
