Cunningham (4292) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2013

Appearance: Cloudy murky brown golden color with a small white head that fast vanish.
Aroma: Wehat and some banana.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a light bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, light fruity and some banana. Deep malty and slightly sweet background.
Overall impression: Swing top bottle. Some carbonation had probably left the bottle before I had the chance to drink it. A bit to flat. Otherwise I think this would have been a nice beer.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Grima.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Cloudy pale yellow, large and creamy white head. Wheaty and yeasty with a pleasant malty character, slightly fruity (banana, mainly). Overall, this is a very nice example of the style.

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of banana, peanuts and light earth, slightly toasty, with a hint of vanilla. flavour is mostly caramel, floral hops and popcorn, with a hint of alcohol and a pronouncedly tart lemony finish. medium-bodied with quite soft carbonation.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 11/2012)
Bright orange color, vanishing head. Aroma has banana and yeast but also tart and glueish notes. Medium-bodied. Citrusy, long tart and acidic aftertaste with light cellary notes. Flip-top bottle said "pop!" but this feels infected.

The bottle I got was slightly past its best by date, so possibly that is the reason for its non-existent head and weak carbonation. Slightly sour taste, traces of the normal hefe bouquet. Wanted to get this one on the database, so I’ll review it, but don’t judge based on this input. I truly think this is a bad bottle. Decent output form this Bavarian brewery, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.... never done this before, but it’s a drain pour. Ouch!
