Gpnterojd (130), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Dec 24, 2007 Pours a very light yellow. Light, hoppy aroma with some bread and some skunk. Flavour has some sweet malts wrapped in a somewhat unexciting hop blanket. What interplay the flavours have is disrupted largely by a strong metallic overtone and aftertaste. It can’t make up its mind between medium bodied or watery. Aftertaste is dry and has lingering sweet notes and a tad of bitterness. Very light. Passable, yet far from above mediocre. Update: Metallic taste is gone about 1/2 way through the can.
wilderthanyou (303), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2008 Pours a transparent fizzy yellow with a big white foamy head. The aroma is bready, malty, and grassy. The flavour is pretty decent, like the aroma, there is some bread, and malt, with a little bit of saltyness, and a dry hop finish. Overall one of the more likeable german pilseners i’ve tried. kolschbeer (2), , Leicestershire, England does not count Jul 5, 2008 For the money its a good buy.
Its also readily available, certainley in the UK .
In my opinion better than a lot of pils.
johntreeter (69), Greenwood, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 5L baby keg at Table Rock. Clear light golden color with a white 1 finger head that left some lacing. A malty aroma with hints of cornbread to it. Flavor is formost on the malty end finishing with the a delightful light hoppy bitterness. Light body, dry texture, lively carb., and dry finish. I’m willing to say this is one if not the best Macro brews on our planet.
The only problem is that in the states sometimes it’s not so fresh. zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jun 23, 2008 Very clean and clear yellow/gold. Nice frothy white head. Tastes as clean as it looks. Very mild and even. Crisp pils finish. Light bodied but not watery. Quite drinkable. Northern style I’m guessing. HenrikSoegaard (2914), Randers, Denmark Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. nice hoppy grassy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Nice moderate bitter finish. Watery palate.
