I tried this beer on February 11, 2008 after purchasing from the local LCBO outlet. The beer pours a clear yellow-gold with a thin white head. The aroma is very grainy and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel is medium bodied. The flavour is a combination of malt and grain.

0.5l can. Pours a clear bright orange with a small, light head. Aroma is faint, but smells of hops and fruit. Palette is smooth, though a little watery. Taste is faint and a little bitter and a little sour, with hints of corn. I’m not a big pilsner fan, but this isn’t bad.

I had this beer on draft in a pilsner glass in Berlin. It was a very clear gold color with a huge creamy (practically like whipped cream) head. Mostly a mild earthy aroma, some malt, but not too powerful. A mostly sour, but somewhat bitter taste too. Thin, dry, and light, with mild to average carbonation. A decent, but still middle-of-the-pack beer.

The aroma is corn like with some grassy hops. The appearance is golden with a smaller head. The flavor is like the aroma and bad. The palate is thin. Overall this stinks.

My sample might have lingered a little on the shelves...seemed a bit tart in an unpleasant sort of way, perhaps a bit light-struck? The color was VERY pale and less-than-inviting. Nose had touches of tart grassiness that distracted. Flavor was largely sweet maltiness/light herbal hop bite/and lingering off-tasting tartness in the finish. Nothing I’d care to repeat.

Uma pilsen amarga - me surpreendeu. Coloração amarelo e espuma branca - normal. Cheiro levemente lupulado e de cereais. Gosto amargo e suavemente frutado, retrogosto amargo e tonalidades de mel. Refrescante. Teor alcoolico equilibrado.

Bottle in Footed Pilsner. Admittedly bought this at Aldi’s when The Mrs. instructed me to provide some beer for the purpose of boiling brats. Finally, after haunting my fridge for months, I decided to actually DRINK one. Poured a nice, white head and a glowing golden color. Very pleasant floral aroma with just a little tingle in the nostrils. Taste was far better than expected: light, crisp and very hoppy, yet there was some sweetness underneath. I won’t claim to be a great fan of pilsners, but this certainly was a better beer-pf-the-night than I ever would have expected. Well worth trying, particularly at the dirt cheap price.

I ran across this in an Aldis while picking up pet food for the local animal shelter. Doesn’t seem to be distributed elsewhere here. It pours a lively pale gold body with a tall fluffy head. The aroma is sweet and malty with a grassy bitterness. Light and somewhat oily in the mouth, the flavor carries an intensified hoppy bitterness, but a touch of metallica arises, too. Nice bitter finish.
