| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Bottle purchased at an Aldi Grocery store. The body was pale gold with a foamy white head that dies down quickly. The aroma was very light with some fresh baked bread and a little bit of boiled potatoes. The taste is fairly spicy with black pepper and some raw potatoes. There is also a little bit of grassy hops. Overall, a decent if a little light pils. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 24, 2009 bottle. Clear yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, hoppy with very very shy malt flavours in the far background. A hoppy Pils with a dry mouthfeel. JMerritt (1327), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2009 12 oz. bottle, purchased at my local Aldi. Clear, light golden with a medium-sized bright white head that is slowly, but mostly diminishing. Lacing actually quite nice. Clean hay/straw aroma with a touch of rye and clover, manly straight-forward and rather light. Very clean flavor, loads of sweet straw and grains and earthy hops, Finish is mildly bitter, mildly sweet. Nice to have a non-skunked pils for a change. jezmez68 (334), Chesterton, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2009 Considering that you can get this at Aldi, and it comes in a brown bottle so it’s not skunked, this is a decent example of the German Pils style. rozsoma (63), Győr, Hungary
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Updated: Oct 26, 2009This beer has a golden pale color with big sparkling white creamy head, which mostly diminishing, and fair-lacing. The hoppyness dominates in the aroma with some fruitiness (maybe grapefruit). A pure bitter, refreshing flavour (very pure water used), with a bit dry, long annex taste-free aftertaste. Medium body, dry texture, chalky bitterness and a gently hidden soft carbonation. It’s like earth and worthy of the name PILS LEGENDE.
