Brown bottle pours a pale straw yellow color with small white head and some lacing. Aroma is not strong, but definitely has pils malts, cut grass, grains, and lemon. It is not skunky or metallic, but might have a touch of cardboard. Taste is not quite sweet, with a surprisingly bitter finish. Body is light to medium with slight carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. I enjoyed this with friends just before dinner more than my rating shows. It is probably the hoppiest pilsener I’ve tried, and is easy to drink, but would be better fresh from the source.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2013 Brown bottle... Fizzy, light yellow lager with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Decent retention. The nose offers citrusy lemon and a trace of white pepper. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Although the flavor is a bit mundane, there are no flaws and the balance is remarkable, even at room temperature. Short, crisp, clean finish.

330 ml bottle at The Fortune Teller Bar in St. Louis. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white head and some visible carbonation. Notes of straw, pils malts, and very mild grassy hops. A bit of dough and crackers. The faintest pear. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, malty mouthfeel. This is a very nice example of the style. Nothing that jumps out, just gets the job done. Not a trace of skunk despite the green bottle, either.

26.01.2013. 0,5l Bottle. ScandinavianPark, Flensburg. Pale yellow colour with white head. Aroma is malty with sharp bitterness. Grassy hops. Notes of dry hay. Rather tasteless beer but it tastes good, very clean pilsner style beer.

500 ml can. Pours a clear greenish straw with a nice white head. Some herbal hops aroma. Slightly cerealish flavor, a touch of sugar. Somewhat old-tasting. Slight herbal bitterness. Not more in the taste department. Light body, foamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Quite a bit generic...

500ml can. Pours a pale yellow, with a good sized white head. Very faint nose. Aromas of dough, faint apple juice, metallic hops, and malt. As for taste, this beer has some serious white bread notes, and I like ’em. Add to that, cereal notes, straw, and some decent metallic hops to finish things off. I’ve been putting off trying this for years because I figured it was just another blah Euro-pilsener, but this is totally decent. Up there with Kozel.
