I’m not a huge pilsener fan, but my Dad is, and he loved this beer. Despite, I found it super flat and a little too sour for even a craft lover’s tastes. Sour, not in the good way, that is. Bottle was pretty- the label was well designed and the beer itself was crisp and tasted fresh, but the flavors just didn’t muddle well.

A light tasting beer. Overall thin texture with good taste. Aftertaste is a bit harsh.

Pours a straw yellow with a thin white dissipating head. Taste of malt and hops with a smooth finish. If you ever are at Aldi’s, and you decide to buy one of their three beers they sell, this one will not disappoint. The other two they sell...meh, but this one is pretty good.

500ml can from the LCBO. Completely transparent pale straw body with little to know head whatsoever. Classic pilsner malty sweetness present on the nose, some spice, biscuit, green apple. Taste of hops is present immediately. Good carbonation.

330ml bottle from Gourmondo.de, clear pale yellow colour, medium mostly lasting frothy white head, fair lacing. Moderately malty aroma of cookie and caramel with light to moderate peppery and grassy hops. Taste is initially sweet and slightly acidic turning into a longish bittersweet finish with an acetic feel. Light to medium body, slick mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite a tasty pils with a very sweet malt base but a decent bit of hops to balanced it out, could’ve maybe still had a bit more of the latter and still remained balanced.

Classic German Pilsener, with a crisp, clean and pure malt character and dry, pretty strongly bitter hop finish, typical for the northern German substyle. One of the better examples of this style I had so far.

Bottle 33cl. Clear medium golden color, two finger foamy white head, reduces slowly to a foamy layer, no lacing; sweet malty aroma, grass, light yeasty; taste moderate sweet and bitter; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, bit prickly on the tongue; mild dry bitter finish, getting stronger in the aftertaste.

Moderate Pils aroma. Light yellow color, clear, good carbonation and head. Wimpy looking beer in the glass. But ok taste. Medium bitter followt hru, but not overwhelming. Light on the palate. Smooth. Overall, not bad. A very enjoyable beer. A good, refreshing, crisp, middle of the road Pils.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Clear gold, white head. Grassy and grainy aroma, delicate bitterness and some toast in the mouth. Light body, slightly bitter finish.

Pours paler than Vladimir Putin’s past with a nice mushy one finger cap. My quest for the ultimate pilsner continues with This German offering. A little skeptical after trying their disaster of a radler, but this pils actually turns out to be pretty damn decent. The downside is that you’re not going to fall in love with it; the upside is that it won’t break your heart like so many euro bland imports do.
