3fourths (8238) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 23, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2014 From draft at Wernsdörfer in Schonbrunn. Clear honey gold with a short white head. Medium body, starchy and papery with metallic off-notes. Wort-y extract syrup rawness, syrupy malt with some silty coarseness. Sweet and malty, toffee / caramel accents. Simple landbier hell, faint diacetyl in the nose with the acid signature showing itself as well. Pretty simple with quiet faults.

Bottled. The aroma is quite malty (bready). Clear, copper coloured beer with a white head. The taste has toasted malts, some faint grassy hops.

motelpogo (7054) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 26, 2012
on tap at the old brewery in schonbrunn. i must admit to being quite disappointed that both breweries in this town no longer brew their own stuff. but at least they know how to party, as experienced during kirschweih 2011 in the tent erected behind their pub. this was pleasant if unremarkable - bright golden with only the faintest haze; pleasant whiff of green grass; light nutty caramel and a bit of a nothing finish

bierkoning (10563) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2011
Bottle, bought @ the brewery. Maltaroma with hay. Almost full bodied. Hay flavors. Shortish aftertaste with some bready notes. Very well balanced and a good example of a landbier.

MoritzF (8590) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2011
(draught at the brewpub) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet (cara-)malty aroma with notes of biscuits and herbal, slightly woody hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Pleasant malt-character with hints of caramel and biscuits; medium-dry malt-accented and delicately hoppy finish. Pleasant. 17.IV.11

Koelschtrinker (11062) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 3, 2011

Limited number of very nice rooms; excellent food; warm, hospitable service. Very local; hub for the village.
