Handpump at the Madding Crowd in Oxford. The beer pours a med. auburn with a thin soapy head that dissipates. Med. body and med. CO2. The flavor is earthy with hazelnuts.. Huge caramel with a firm bitterness. A very distinct house character.

Cask (The King’s Arms, Kidlington)
Copper colour, thin head. Spicy sweet and fruity. Good body too, plenty of medium-roasted, slightly nutty, malt and crisp hoppiness, but well balanced. Despite being 5%, this sessioned perfectly - drank it from 10am to 2am. (for 2 days)

08/12/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Ambrata, intensa, limpida, bella schiuma pannosa, abbondante, bianca e molto persistente. Aroma molto intenso di luppolo, malto, note fruttate e floreali, agrumate. In bocca è decisamente amara, con una buona persistenza e una lieve nota di caramello, leggera e bevibile. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Premium bitter senza infamia e senza lode, ma molto gradevole.
