Finn (1050), Tromsų, Norway May 18, 2008 Gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2 May 08. Bright golden colored. No head. Modest fruity aroma. Some hints of fruit in the flavor but quite anonymous. Dry aftertaste. Rune (1500), Tromsų, Norway May 15, 2008 Lacing-head over a bit clouded, golden body. Malt-fruity aroma. Rather tangy hops up front with hints of grapefruits and peaches. Soft bitter ending (gravicask sampled with Finn at Reading Beer Festival, 02.05.2008). joe1961_2 (366), camberley, Surrey, England Apr 26, 2008 Cask at Farnham Beerex 2008. Poured a pale amber colour with a small thin white head which soon disappeared. The beer is malty with a light fruit aroma with a bitter dry, fruity, hoppy taste, with a dry finish.
Doppelganger (1086), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Oct 24, 2007 Cask, Royal Oak, Wantage. Copper, off-white head. Candied orange aroma, a bit of spice. Light citrus bitterness, a fresh light malt background. Some earthy plum notes in the finish. A fine refreshing ale. berkshire_john (981), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Apr 3, 2007 Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Amber with a trace of a cream head, leaving plenty of lacing; citrus aroma; fruity in the mouth with lots of orange, and an almost marmalade-like sweetness; however there is a firm lasting bitter finish which cuts through this. An excellent example of a golden ale.
