Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 23, 2006 [Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy reddish beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has light sulphury notes combined with caramel, while the flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, combined with light notes of sulphur and berries, leading to a dry slightly metallic end. The worst of the five beers from West Berkshire that I’ve had. omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 21, 2002 Sampled cask conditioned at GBBF.
Flavour of malts and hops with fruity notes. fonefan (6078), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 15, 2006 Cask, handpump @ Crown & Garter, Inkpen Common. Copper colour. Small with head. Fruity, sweet and malty flavor with a nice hoppy tast in the finish. (very good together with chees)
harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 6, 2007 Cask condtioned handpull Evening Star, Brighton. Copper colour with thin beige head. Yeast, dry malt aroma, little bit toasty. Good condition, if a little fizzy. It’s a slightly malty best bitter. Condition adds to the hop tingle on finish. It’s a competent if not startling bitter.
