Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 2/2/2013. Deep brown with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, berry fruits and a touch of roastiness. Flavour had more fruit, bready malts and a decent, bitter finish. Good.

Half pint at the Nags Head in Reading. Dark red brown, fair bubbly head. Pleasant aroma. Bitter, hint of vanilla well rounded, a bit of chocolate malt. Decent.

Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. Magohany in colour with a golden glow and a loose cream head; aroma of malts and roast chestnutes; tich, earthy, malt taste, with gently growing English hops giving a pleasant bitterness; before a dry malty finish. Excellent.
