(040508) downender (1616), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England May 17, 2008 On gravity at St Albans beer festival 2006. I had forgotten about trying this, but came across my notes of the festival. According to them, this was a standard session bitter, amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Easy drinking with some caramel sweetness, grassy hops and a decent bitter finish. Ok. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England May 26, 2007 Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer festival, April 2006. Copper colour. Dry, fairly hoppy stuff. Quite strong bitterness., slightly astringent. As might be expected for a low ABV bitter, the body is quite thin. But its clean, crisp and refreshing, which is no doubt the (limited) intention.
Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 23, 2006 [Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy amber beer with a slight orange teint under a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel as well as light notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, but also a light touch of fruit, before a very fresh hoppy note attacks, like freshly picked hops, somewhat American in the hoppyness. The end is dry and slightly bitter, but the body is a bit thin. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England May 8, 2006 Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Musty malts. Dry drinkable body with a little hoppiness to round it off.
