1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft at the brewery with TheDude. Pours a hazed golden color with white head. Aroma of odd belgian yeast, some sugar, odd sickeningly sweet fruit. Flavor is cloying. Very cloying. In fact, if I were asked to define cloying I would give them this beer. So very sweet. Sweet like odd old fruit and sugar. Lots of alcohol towards the finish. Nope.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Sweet tobacco and unripe red plum and strong banana and caramel with a sloppy, goopy malt texture. Ugh. Sugary, sweet, acidic, dirty, rotting fruit with a flabby, thin, watery body. Horrible. Sweet, stew-y caramel banana mush of a beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at the brewery, this pours a clear deep amber into the glass with a pillowy head that leaves mild soap lacing. The nose is nice, of banana and hints of caramel candies. Flavors of banana, licorice, light clove and finishing with an aerated peppery sugar. The mouthfeel is effervescent mostly, lacking a substance to the palate that might push this to "next level" status. Decent one-off style here though, and an interesting find.

Pours a thin off white head, over a clear amber (SRM 10) body....nose is light dried fruits, toffee/caramel.....taste is slightly sweet with mild plum, raisin, toffee/caramel....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation low with clean acid finish. This is a light Belgian and not particularly interesting. BJCP 7/3/12/4/7

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
At west flanders. Pours a dark, clear amber with a finger of fine white head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity, candied fruit, caramel. Flavor is sweet, bready, caramel, fruity, fig, slight alcohol as it warms with a mildly bitter finish. Medium-soft carbonation, medium body, and slightly slick texture. A pretty good belgian ale, probably my favorite beer here so far.
