Pours a dark orange with a large white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, hops, oranges, and grapefruit. Taste is pine, citrus and hops with strong bread and caramel malt taste almost dominating. Nice finish with the hop bitterness coming through. Very nice mouth feel with a somewhat thick and creamy texture and an active but low carbonation. Overall a decent IPA. Definitely different from most.

Aroma: Floral, caramel and pine
Taste is similar with a nice pine resin finish
A nice hoppy, slightly bitter IPA.

hombrepalo (1831) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 10, 2013
Very Piney Hop forward flavor along with toffee and malty notes; A bit imbalanced with the heavy hops. Mouth is also a bit light and watery but easy to drink still. Overall a solid IPA despite some shortcomings

12 oz. can. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with two fingers of off-white head that eventually lace the glass. Aroma of big, sweet, doughy malts, dry grains, citrusy and resinous hops, and some tropical fruits. Flavor of orange citrus, tropical fruits, soap, grass, dry and sweet malts. Light-medium bodied, with a dry, resinous, bitter mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Dry finish. Bitterness lingers. Solid IPA from a new brewer.

Can pour hazy brownish orange. Nose of slight peppery and floral hop. Initial flavor of sweet malt, followed by long bitterness. Long finish. Didn’t get as much pine and fruit flavoring hop as expected.

12 ounce can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a cloudy amber/orange color with about an inch and a half off-white head after a strong pour. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. Aroma is nice, it smells like pine and citrusy (mango, light tropical fruit) hops, and some bready and caramel malt. It gets more and more citrusy the longer it warms. I think the taste is the same as the aroma, it’s mostly citrusy and pine hops, along with some bready and caramel malt. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s smooth and easy to drink. It’s a good IPA overall, I won’t have any problems finishing this 6-pack. $9.99 a sixer.

Can. Pours a hazy amber color with a moderate white head. Nose is quite hoppy with a lot of floral notes coming through. Taste is slightly bitter and somewhat crisp. Smooth feel with just a hint of bubbliness on the back end.

355mL can thanks to tastybeer! Pours a hazy, deep murky orange with a rocky, buttermilk head. Very nice lacing. Nose is butterscotch, soap, orange juice, mild dried coconut. A pretty nice butterscotch note though. Taste is thicker, salty, thick toffee, thick caramel, Mildly dusty, soapy palate. Finishing powdery. Good though.

Can. Poured amber with a creamy off-white head that left light lace. Nice citrus hop aroma. The flavor found caramel and grapefruit. Medium body and a mild bitterness.

12oz can. No date, but I think this can is very much on the fresh side. Hazy amber color. Huge off-white head. Neat-looking, but kind of excessive. Eventually fades a bit, but an ample amount retains. Good lace. Very big grassy resinous lightly piney hop nose. Medium-plus body. Very smooth, light carbonation. More dry finish. Much less carbonation than expected, but it makes for a very easy to drink IPA, offers no impedance to the intake of hops. Good big bitter taste, with a zesty sweet. Very assertive. Some bready malt, but the focus is on the hops here, with minimal sweet. One of the most impressive new IPAs I’ve had in a while.
