Great hop aroma. Just floral and somewhat citrus on the nose. Nice malt sweetness that with the hops creates a grapefruit like flavor. Not overly bitter for an American IPA. It’s nice to see a good IPA that’s from Kentucky. After drinking two the hops starts to dominate the palate and the grapefruit becomes more floral.

Can. Pours a frothy head over an orangish body. Aromas are a little resinous with some oranges. Flavor is sharply hoppy with a good blend of malt and pungent resin.

Can. Pours a really gorgeous clear gold with a high, white, lacy head. Nose is rosemary, pine, fir, lavender, grapefruit, tangerine, and sage. Strong citrus bitter up front, with a definite ruby red grapefruit tinge, then moving into a warming butter toffee malt sweetness. Finish is long, herbal/citrus, and bitter. Very round and smooth on the mouthfeel, aided by an extremely well balanced carbonation. This is some damn fine IPA.

Can at home thanks to drfabulous. Pours copper with fizzy white head. Settles to a lace, lots of visible carbonation. Aroma is citrus, fruit, faint toasted malts and a bit of sweetness. Taste is tropical fruit, mango and grapefruit. A bit of earthy undertones. Nicely balanced with some semi sweet malts. Finishes with great bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Fantastic IPA, would love to drink again.

Poured from a can. Great floral aroma on the nose. Minimal head with very fine bubbles. Cloudy honey color. Good thick mouthfeel with good amount of "hop-attack" to the sides of the tongue. Not overly hoppy. Decent if you wanted to drink a few of these. Nothing I'd cure a hop craving with though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can from Dutch’s bottle shop in Cincy. Amber pour with white head. Aroma of caramel, grain, grass, herbal, dusty. Tastes of hop, floral, citrus, herbal, grass. Bit of a catty vibe. Good. 7.6

From notes. Tasted on 10/21/12 from a 12oz can. Pours clear, bright orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to sticky, average lace. The nose is floral, citrus, and grassy herbal hops with a light bread malt backbone. The flavor is orange zest, herbal, and grassy, nicely bitter, with just enough bread malt to balance. The body is medium and oily with average carbonation and a long pleasantly bitter hops finish.

12 oz can poured into pint glass The West Sixth IPA pours a partly cloudy orange bronze with a beautiful thick creamy light tan head that lasts a long while. The aroma is strong floral hops with biscuits and caramel. The flavor is floral hops, biscuit and caramel. The caramel is more evident in the flavor than in the nose. Overall this is a lovely IPA.
