Keg and Bottle: Unfiltered.
West’s signature Munich-style lager beer. Carefully selected imported ingredients create a crisp and clean beer with satisfying malt sweetness, complimented by delicate hop bitterness.

330ml Bottle: BBD 7th May 14, poured into a Veltins badged stemmed tulip during a lager/pilsner tasting session with the wife, this was the last of the five beers we tried. Pale yellow to gold with a mini haze, the head pure white that started deep and even began to fade instantly before settling down as a wisp and collar. Mild aromas, mixed esters from both grassy hops and semi-sweet malty molasses: had to sniff deeply to find anything. The taste was a pleasant blend of lager-like flavours: malty front with a more bitter, dry hop finish. Nothing special about it, but better than all the mass produced beers around the world in this style. Nicely carbonated, appeared fresh and scored well compared to some on the night.

Keg at Ericht Ale House, Blairgowrie. Clear amber-yellow, good white head. Classic pilsner nose, vegetal, cooked corn, light bread malt. Light sweet, light bitter. Nice clean finish, good.

Bottle in a tulip glass. Pours dark straw with a white head, some broken lacing. Decent, prickly mouthfeel. Sweet malt taste, with a gently bitter finish. Aroma is distinctive, but I don’t know what it is!

(Bottle): Pours a clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma of lager yeast, straw, citrus. Malt is apparent in the taste, some straw, yeast, grains and citrus finish. Quite a refreshing beer, not bad overall.

330ml brown glass bottle - bought by Chrissie from Kensington High Street. Nondescript soft, global lager with few hops and some cereal notes. Boring but drinkable.

Mild hoppy aroma. Smells like creamy cheese. Overwhelming taste of cowsheds but not in a bad way. Not unpleasant but more fizzy than I was expecting. Medium gold colour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 33cl - Clear golden beer with a white disappearing head. Aroma is malty with notes of honey, spices, citrus and hay. Flavor is malty with notes of spices, bread and floral hops. Refreshing and well balanced.

Pours a golden colour and to be fair it looks like a lager should. Some light hops and a little citrus. Not the greatest beer in the world but most enjoyable if faced with Fosters.

Dosc tresciwy lager. Przyjazny dla wegetarian. Tylko 3 skladniki zastosowane wg prawa czystosci "Reinheitsgebot". To w szkockim piwie wielka zaleta bo piwo jest w swoim gatunku smaczne tresciwe i z ladna spora gesta pianka.
