Our single-hop rye pale ales are created to showcase the flavor and aroma characteristics of individual hop varieties. The grain recipe is kept the same and only the type of hop is changed from batch to batch. Amarillo is an American hop with a distinct floral citrus aroma reminiscent of oranges.

Bottle. Had an infection so it was about 98% head when I poured it. It was not really flavor altering, other than the fact that it had about five times the carbonation of Dr. Pepper. Sweet, somewhat hoppy, and bland. Not really good. I actually returned the bottle because I was unable to drink any of it without feeling like Chip or Dale.

22-ounce bomber from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours golden. The nose has some faint Amarillo, but overall its quite tame. Some bitterness and a bit too much yeast character.

22 ounce bottle pours a cloudy dark yellow color, aromas of pineaple, rye, citrus, and some piny hops. Flavors are troppical fruit, light caramel, bready backbone with some light rye spiceness at the end. Crisp and refreshing finish.
