COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Taylor is the fourth installment in our "Bearded Farmer" series of saisons. In keeping with the farmhouse brewing tradition, the idea here is to brew each successive beer a little (or a lot) differently than the ones before it. Taylor is brewed with a large percentage of rye and wheat malts, moderately hopped with Tettnanger and Pride of Ringwood hops, and fermented with a blend of farmhouse saison and brettanomyces yeasts.

Bottle, 75cl. A gusher, ending up with an unclear, orange body under a small, off-white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is quite funky and farmhouse-ish, with apricot, clementine, leather notes and a peppery touch. Medium body, soft carbonation at a high level. Quite dry, but with some residual sweetness. Apricot, grapes, pepper, resins and some clementine. A bit low on bitterness. Funky, fruity finish with a tad too much sweetness. Well, I’m not convinced, but it’s a bit sweet. 140608

Bottle at home. Pours a very hazy dark straw colour with a big, creamy, light beige head. Aroma of hay, vinegar, mature cheese, horse, berries, forest floor and citrus. The flavour is more sweet with grass, hops, Belgian yeast with brett in the background. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A well balanced, fresh and nice sour saison.
