Our favorite double IPA’s are all about citrus flavors, so with our Westbrook collaboration we wanted to pack as much grapefruity. hoppy goodness in there as possible to further bolster the hop profile. The addition of fresh grapefruit zest took the labor intensiveness of this beer another level but we think it was worth it and hope you do too! Cheers! Scott, Rich, and the Westbrook Crew

Keg at CBC Clapham. It pours a hazy golden orange from the bottle with thin lacy off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, and other citrus, all leading to resinous hops. Taste follows, bittersweet finish. Big bold DIPA.

Bottled 10/2/13. Pours a hazy golden with a massive head and a long lasting lace. Excellent nose of citrus hops. Grapefruit is the primary aroma, but is backed up with orange and lemon against a slight sweetness. Light medium bodied with strong carbonation. Taste is like the nose, grapefruit predominates with orange and lemon in the background over a slight sweetness. A pleasant tartness and bitterness are present. Be advised, this is a grapefruit flavor bomb that some will find overpowering in terms of grapefruit flavor intensity. Clean finish much like the taste with a long lingering tart and bitter aftertaste. An exceptionally well crafted and flavorful ale.

Bottle @ Deans Winter Shelter Tasting, courtesy of someone... Pours a golden beer with a thin white head on top. Aroma of lemon peel, yeasts, pines and a slight malty, caramel touch. Flavor is bitter, juicy and full of fresh citrusfruits with a sweet tone in the aftertaste. Great, light prickly mouthfeel. Very nice beer!
