4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
16th December 2013
Craft Clapham. Keg. Hazy gold beer with a small white head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. Smooth creamy malt, slightly dry. Lovely orange - tangerine hops. Tropical fruits and a touch of mellow lemon. Light flowers and hop spice and a final touch of grapefruit marmalade. Light smooth finish. A citric bitter aftertaste. No idea this was a DIPA, thought it was a very nice IPA. So dangerously quaffable - I had another half. Lovely stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Hazy deep blond color with creamy head, nice lace. The most prominent aroma is cereals; but that is also a sign of unfresh IPA. The malt flavor is nice, with moderate fruitiness and sweetness; it also has a decent hop character, fruity; light cereals.
It doesn’t appear to be at its prime.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 22oz. A dense, off-white head sits on top of an unclear, orange-golden body. The aroma has a pleasant hoppyness, with some tropical fruityness, citrus peel, peaches and a fine maltyness in the back. The flavor has a nice bitterness, quite a lot actually, with juicy maltyness in the back. Peaches, orange peel and grapefruit juice too. Full body, semi-dry and with a pleasant carbonation, some alcohol warmth too. Lasting hop dominated finish. A fresh and tasteful DIPA I could easily have a few of. Maybe it would do good with even more hops, but I like it like it is anyway. 131123

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Invasion U.S.A, Ulfborg 2013. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Citrus and caramel. A bit of yeast. Too malty. Had hoped for the citrus/hops to be more pungeant and dominating.
